Shelly's HW - Assignment 4

1.      Many rescuers want to save people that are stuck in the rubble. Their houses are destroyed, and the emergency relief workers are delivering tents to people. The Red Crescent provides foods, such as soup, rice and beans to those who have nothing to eat.

2.      Yes, we had a horrible earthquake occurred on Sept.21/1999, it occurred in the middle of the night. It is measured magnitude 7.5 and killed many people. We also had horrible typhoons, for example, a typhoon named Morakot strike Taiwan in 2009, many places floods, and many people’s houses were destroyed. The Sept.21 earthquake and typhoon Morakot was horrible.

3.      Yes, we have donated money to those who suffered from typhoon Morakot. My relatives are the one who rescue the victims. I also have a cousin, he is a soldier at the time, and he goes to the disaster area to clean people’s houses.
